Hexarelin
Synthetic hexapeptide ghrelin mimetic studied for strong GH release and cardiac research.

Research overview
Hexarelin is a synthetic hexapeptide and a potent member of the Growth Hormone-Releasing Peptide (GHRP) family of growth hormone secretagogues.
Its primary mechanism of action is consistent with other GHRPs; it functions as a strong agonist for the Growth Hormone Secretagogue Receptor (GHSR-1a), which is the same receptor activated by the endogenous hormone ghrelin. This activation stimulates a robust release of growth hormone (GH) from the anterior pituitary gland. Hexarelin is generally considered to be one of the most potent GHRPs in terms of GH release on a dose-per-dose basis.
A notable characteristic of Hexarelin is that it can also significantly stimulate the release of prolactin and cortisol, often to a greater degree than other peptides in its class. Research has also indicated that continuous administration can lead to a more rapid desensitization of the GHSR receptor. Uniquely among the GHRPs, Hexarelin has also been investigated for potential cardioprotective effects that may be independent of its GH-releasing activity.
